Location 01 to 02 simple inventory transfer

• SU 1
• Complete a sale using the location 02 customer transfer account
• All inventory is withdrawn from location 01 and placed into location 02 on completion of the sales order

Location 02 to 01 simple inventory transfer

• SU 1
• Complete a sale using the location 01 customer transfer account
• All inventory is withdrawn from location 01 and placed into location 02 on completion of the sales order

Q. & A.

• Q. How do I order inventory into location 01 > transfer the inventory as a special order to location 03 > then sell the inventory to the final customer.
  • Create your SO (Special Order) purchase order in location 01 for customer location 03
  • Receive in the purchase order
    - this puts the ordered inventory into location 01
  • As you receive the PO let purchasing auto-create the invoice to location 03
    - this brings in the inventory to location 01 and simultaneously transfers the product into location 03
    - this also bills out the inventory to location 03
  • Create a sales order for the customer from location 03
    - this relieves the inventory from location 03 and bills the final customer

  This process requires the following

  1. You must create 1 Special Order PO (OU 1)
     - afterwards call fax or call this information into the vendor
  2. You must receive in the SO PO and invoice location 03 (OU 1 F4)
     - this receives the inventory into location 01,
     - automatically invoices location 03 and
     - transfers the inventory to location 03
     *Please note: this works with both inventory and non-inventory stock items.
  3. You must create 1 sales order for the final customer (SU 1)
     - this bills out the inventory to your customer,
     - this charges the correct customer account,
     - this finishes the process
     *Please note: you can copy the previous sales order as long as you change the customer on the last sales screen (F2).

• Q. How do I sell a product already in my location 01 inventory?
  • Create a Sales Order (SU 1) to transfer the inventory into location 03 (or your specific location)
    - this puts the inventory into location 03 (or your selected location)
  • Then create a sales order (you can copy the previous one SU 1, F11) for your customer.
    - this invoices the customer for the products

  This process requires the following

  • You must create a sales transfer order (SU 1)
    - this pulls the inventory out of the 1st location and into the 2nd and
    - charges the correct location for use of materials
  • You must create a sales order for the final customer receiving the inventory
    *Please note you can create duplicate sales orders at the Sales Entry screen by doing an F11 after entering your security code. DON'T FORGET TO CHANGE THE CUSTOMER ON THE FINAL SALES SCREEN (F2/Change Customer).
