INSTRUCTIONS
FOR MCAFEE DOS ANTI-VIRUS INSTALLATION
1. READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH INSTALLATION. Please note that this is
not a licensed copy of “Mcafee Software.” Hereafter, known as software. If you
continue using this software you are legally responsible to purchase your own
licensed copy for use on your machine(s). International Business Systems
Corporation assumes no liability for copyright violations related to use legal
or illegal and/or distribution legal or illegal of this software. You are to use
this software at your own risk. International Business Systems Corporation
disclaims any damages, losses, and/or errors caused by use or misuse legally or
illegally of this software to your system. You the user are responsible to
destroy all and/or any copy/copies of this software if you choose not to
purchase MCAFEE or assume the risk of temporarily trying out this software.
2. Place 3.5" diskette in Drive A
3. Go to the C Prompt (i.e. C:\ )
A.) From windows you may reach this by holding down the ALT key and then
pressing the F4 key.
B.) When the screen asks if it is OK to end Windows click on OK.
C.) Then type CD\ and press the ENTER key.
4. Type MD C:\MCAFEE and press the ENTER key.
5. Type XCOPY A:\*.* C:\MCAFEE\*.* /S and press the ENTER key.
6. Type CD\MCAFEE and press the ENTER key.
7. Type PKUNZIP *.* and press the ENTER key.
8. Go to windows
A.) You can go directly into windows by typing WIN and then pressing the ENTER
key.
B.) Open your WORKGROUP (or equivalent) icon by double clicking on it.
C.) Click on FILE in the upper left corner of the screen.
D.) Click on NEW
E.) Click on Program Item and then click on OK.
F.) Click on BROWSE
G.) Double Click on C:\ under the Directories box
H.) Scroll Down on the Directories box until you find the MCAFEE directory the
Double Click on it.
I.) Under the File Box (large box on left side) Scroll Down using your Mouse
until you see WSCAN.EXE and Double Click on that file.
J.) Click on OK on the Program File Properties Menu
*.) The File Icon will now be created in your WORKGROUP with the name WSCAN you
may Double Click on this icon to use the Anti-Virus software.
9. Please note we do not support nor recommend McAfee software
