Paying Commissions

How do I pay commissions without standard deductions?

• Set standard deductions to a letter other than 'A' (i.e. B-Z)
• Run company payroll setup and select 'A' for standard deductions.
  • selecting 'A' instead of 'Z' only selects deduction frequencis A to A. Normally you select 'Z' for all deductions.
• Run payroll for commission checks

Where to set deductions

Standard deductions

• PU (Payroll Update)
• Option 6 (Employee Master)
• Press enter to the 2nd screen
  
• Each employee's deduction frequency must be set prior to running commision checks

Running Commission Checks

• First have you marked all employees with a payroll frequency of 'B' or higher on all deductions?
  - If so continue to the next step.
  - If not check each employee to verify that all deductions are tagged as 'B' or higher
• Next go to P P (Payroll processing)
• Select option 1 (Company Setup)
• Enter in the information as follows:
