  • A quote is not a sale and does not in any way shape or form directly affect your physical inventory.
  • Things quotes don't do:
    • quotes do not reserve inventory
    • quotes do not hold inventory
    • quotes do not touch inventory
  • Things quotes do
    • quotes override pricing at the sales screen
    • inactive, completed and quotes tagged for deletion do not change pricing

  • Q. What is the difference between and active and inactive quote.
    A. An active quote will override pricing. An inactive quote does nothing.
  • Q. What is the difference between a restricted quote (SU 2) and a quote (QU 1)
    A. Restricted quotes lock the following:
    • no pricing changes permitted
    • no cost displays
    • limited options for changes and modifications
