How to Setup MBF/MSF

Definitions

• MBF - Manufacturer Board Footage
  • length x width x thickness /12
• MSF - Manufacturer Square Footage
  • length x width

MBF Example

• 2 x 4 x 8 board = 5.33333 board feet (2x4x8/12=5.33333)
  
• 4 x 4 x 16 board = 21.33334 board feet (4x4x16/12=21.33333)
  

MSF Example

• 4 x 8 sheet of plywood = 32 (4x8=32)
