What do I do if I spill coke on my keyboard

Q. What if I spill something on the keyboard?
A. DO NOT spill Coke or Sugar based beverages on the keyboard. If you do happen to spill a coke type product on the keyboard do the followng:
1.) Immediatly wipe as much of the excess liquid away as is possible.
2.) Turn the computer off and leave it off until the keyboard has dryed.
3.) Once you restart the computer test each of your keys to ascertain whether or not they are functioning properly. If the keys function properly wthout any hesitation or stickyness you are OK. If not continue to try and type with the non-functioning keys.
4.) Because sugar based coke products form into a hard shell inside keyboards always try to drink them away from the keyboard.

If the liquid you spill does not contain sugar (i.e. Diet drinks, water, etc.) Do the Following.
1.) Turn the computer off.
2.) Wipe any excess liquid away.
3.) Wait until the keyboard is dry and then turn the computer back on. You keyboard should function normally at this time.
