Printer Emulations for Lexmark Impact Printers

IBS Lumber Software Inc uses IBM Emulation with all Lexmark Impact Printers

PC Setup for Windows XP and Windows 2000 users

1. Click on Start >
2. Click on Printers and Faxes >
3. Click on Add a Printer (Under printer tasks) >
4. When Printer Setup Wizard starts click on Next >
5. Click on Local Printer attached to this computer >
6. Click on Next >
7. Click on Use the Following Port (Select LPT1 for parallel printer cables or USB for USB port) >
8. Click on Next >

   Go down the list and select the first one that listed as available for your PC Operating System (OS).

   • Lexmark - Forms Printer 2480/2481
   • Lexmark - Forms Printer 2380/2381
   • IBM - 2381 plus
   • IBM - 2380/2381 IBM Personal Printer Series II
   • IBM - 4201/4202 IBM Proprinter III
   • IBM - 4201/4202 IBM Proprinter II
   • IBM - ExecJet Printer Model 4072

9. Find the Manufacturer then click on Lexmark >
10. Select 2480 printer or 2380 Plus printer then click next >
11. Click next on Name your Printer screen >
12. On the share this printer screen click on next (unless your local network supervisor tells you differently)
13. Load the paper then verify that the ready light on the printer is solid >
14. Click next on print a test page >
15. Click finish on completing setup wizard
