How to Set the Forms thickness on a Lexmark 23XX and 24XX printer
- Locate the forms thickness lever on the
front left-hand side of the printer (blue on the 23xx, gray on the 24XX). The
lever is numbered 1 through 7. The lower the number, the tighter the paper
path; the higher the number, the wider the paper path. As a rule, the highest
setting (number) that is compatible with the print quality desired is best for
the printer.
- When setting the forms thickness lever, start by setting the lever to the
number of copies in your form (including carbons) plus 1. For example, set the
lever to 2 for a single-part form, for a
two-part form, set it to 3, and so on.
- Test the print quality and adjust as needed.
