GU 5 - Standard Journal Entry

Purpose

• Quick journal entries (e.g. adjusting journal entries) without journal proof report requirements.

Using GU 5

• Go to GU (General Ledger Update)
• Select option 5 (Standard Journal Entries)
• Enter your transactions
• Posting (GU 6) and report (GR 9) options
  • Continue to GU 6 to post all transactions into a selected period or
  • Go to GR 9 Standard Journal Entry listing that details all current transaction entries

F6 Adding a transaction

• Go to GU (General Ledger Update)
• Select option 5 (Standard Journal Entries)
• Press F6 (Add a transaction)
  
  
• Enter your transaction information then press ENTER.

F10 Viewing transaction totals

• Go to GU (General Ledger Update)
• Select option 5 (Standard Journal Entries)
• Press F10 (Transaction totals)
